Val Starr and John Ellis aka the Val Starr Duo, are a dynamic husband and wife musical team, with a lifetime of performing and recording under their belts.  With 6 original blues album releases, 3 of which topped the national blues radio charts, and a #1 single, the pair has played the blues from California to Memphis.  Their exceptional duo show features live guitar, bass and vocals with drum tracks to create a full band experience.  Music includes handpicked classic hits from the 60's to 2000's, along with toe tapping original blues.  From Carole King to Colbie Caillet, from Grace Slick to Bonnie Raitt,  Val's vocals will captivate your audience and leave them wanting more.

Red's Blues

Red's Blues is a four-piece band from Sacramento, California, featuring Beth Reid-Grigsby, aka Sacramento Red, on lead vocals and harmonies, and Sacramento Blues Hall of Fame members RW Grigsby, bass and vocals, Doug Crumpacker, guitar, harmonica and vocals and Tim Wilbur, drums/percussion and vocals. They specialize in traditional blues, as well as a lot of original Americana/Roots music, and have been twice nominated for a SAMMIE award for best blues band in the NoCal region. Beth and RW founded Red's Blues in 2012.

At SP Music School Folsom, our music center makes music fun for students of all ages and all skill levels! With our curriculum, students enjoy a balance of private instruction, group practice, and live performance. We also encourage our students to choose which songs and genres they want to learn — from classical sonatas to heavy metal riffs to chart-topping pop hits.

A grand prize winner in the Nashville Music City Song Festival and multi-finalist in the American Song Festival, Covert's songs have been featured on "The Sopranos", VH-1 "Driven" (featuring Grammy winner Usher), ABC's "General Hospital" and more!
